PPR Career, Inc. is in search of a Sr. Desktop Support Analyst for an exciting permanent position with a growing company in Augusta, GA.
Summary of Responsibilities: The Senior Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for maintaining system availability, efficient operation of infrastructure and customer support.
Essential Job Functions:
• Provide second level desktop support to PC application and hardware through service requests
• Identify trends and report to supervisor
• Add knowledge-based articles to departmental website, identifying how to successfully resolve system issues
• Keep team aware of system improvements and problems being addressed
• Communicate and work together to accomplish the goals of the department and the company as a whole
• Follow-up with users on reported issues and provide explanation if issue is unable to be resolved within specified time frame
• Provide support for LAN/WAN related issues including:
• Troubleshooting network conductivity issues
• Knowledge of HP switch configuration and management
• Knowledge and configuration of SonicWall firewall
• VPN configuration for point to point and remote client access
• Assist with server setup, configuration and operations including:
• Knowledge of MS Active Directory and Group Policy
• Hyper-V
• Windows Security
• Knowledge of MS Exchange Server 2010
• Answer support calls to maintain solid customer/client relationships by handling any questions, issues, and concerns
• Remote in to user sessions to provide support to troubleshoot issues
• Create support tickets for issues that are not resolved while on call
• Develop and test desktop configurations
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite

• Thorough understanding of Windows Operating System

• Excellent computer software knowledge and skills
• Excellent Communication and customer service skills
Abilities
• Ability to analyze service request tickets
• Ability to work multiple tasks and projects
• Ability to work after hours and on weekends as needed
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years’ experience with networking and/or Microsoft Operating Systems.
• Microsoft certification or equivalent.
