Primary Function: Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. Propose and document the needs and solutions for large and highly complex business areas. Prepare functional specifications and business requirement documents and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Collect, understand, and transmit the business requirements for the project and translate these into functional specifications.
• Analyze and document business processes.
• Document workflows and results of business analysis and may obtain sign-off from client on the specifications.
• Document data and system structure in Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS)
• Provide the link between the customer, development team and any third party regarding software functionality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain day-to-day management of change requests in relation to the project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
• May provide reports to be produced for the project manager and other stakeholders showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
• May design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts and create detailed test plans and use cases.
• May document all problems and work with appropriate departments and/or clients to resolve them.
• May create project documents such as proposals and statements of work.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding client and Company information and ensure proper destruction of confidential documents.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience required.
• A minimum 5 years professional experience analyzing and documenting complex business processes and writing business requirement specifications for Information Systems required.
• Analysis of Financial Systems experience required (Accounts Payable, Receivable, Billing/Invoicing preferred).
