PPR Career, Inc. is in search of a talented JD Edwards Programmer / Analyst seeking a challenging and rewarding career opportunity with a very established company!
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for, but not limited to assisting in the design, development and maintenance of Oracle/JD Edwards packaged applications and internally developed applications (Legacy apps). Client’s business process functions on an integrated ERP application that includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Customer Order Processing, Purchasing, Production, and Warehousing. Knowledge of all general business applications in the IT field are required Programmer/Analyst will have 5 years minimum working knowledge of JDE.
The JDE Programmer/Analyst will have a working background in RPG. Experience with an IBM AS400/I-series processor is required, and working knowledge of Sequel database design and maintenance will benefit the position.
NICE TO HAVE EXPOSURE
.Net, ASP, C#, C++ programming languages.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities and can vary on a daily basis.
JOB SCOPE
Support all computer systems within the IT, Sales, Distribution, Accounting, Production Control, Purchasing, Engineering, Plant operations, Distribution Center, and Customer Service. Design changes to existing JD Edwards applications, maintain and enhance existing legacy applications, and have an extensive ERP background will be used to maintain existing plant operations that utilize JDE.
JOB DUTIES
- Analyze system and user upgrade requests to provide detailed programming instructions for the programming team
- Be able to interpret design specs and make the associated change to legacy and JDE applications
- Handle daily help desk issues that are reported by each operating unit
- Design new/improve applications such as Inventory, Plant Floor control, Accounting, that involve any business process
- Assist the IT department in communication interface to the networks internally and externally.
- Excellent testing procedures are required for any new or change process in any application.
- Working knowledge of change control for JDE applications and some CNC experience is helpful
- Repair equipment as necessary including PC’s, HP printers, Switches, cables, etc
- Direct staff to control projects and meet deadlines for applications that are being developed
- Assist the Manager and others in the department when necessary
