Information Systems Specialist - Seeking TWO experienced Information Systems Specialist.
Two Locations: Port Royal, FL AND Gainesville, FL
This position serves as a technical lead assigned to the organizations affiliated Associations for technical services. The position is responsible for and coordinates association computer and network services, to include planning the utilization of computer systems, purchasing and installing equipment, coordinating and conducting systems training, and leading the association systems work groups. This position also provides direct technical assistance throughout the association, coordinating with the Information Management Department of the organization. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading and implementing projects that involve information systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in technical services, networking, or system administration.
• Requires technical expertise in systems administration and security tools, combined with security best-practices and procedures.
• Organizational skills for planning and prioritizing work.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to express to our users technical information in a non-technical manner.
• Ability to write logical and comprehensible procedures and forms.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills for communicating to management, Internal Audit, user community, and security violators.
• Citrix and Shortel VOIP is highly desired.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Extensive technical knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and related configuration toolsets.
• Extensive knowledge industry best practices for systems security and implementation practices.
• Ability to use detailed knowledge of Microsoft systems to effectively troubleshoot system level issues.
• Experience with server configuration and system monitoring.
